This vehicle was given a Professional Valet.
I was asked to give this much loved Porsche 911 a valet to bring back its shine before it was viewed for sale.
The exterior of the car was covered in the usual road mud and grit but it wasn't too bad at all.
The paint work was also covered in road tar spots which normal car washing and polishing will not remove.
The body of the 911 was firstly rinsed to remove the mud and grit. To do this I applied TFR which is traffic film remover which helps with the cleaning process by loosening all the dirt.
The next stage was to wash the body work using a good quality wash and wax shampoo which I used with a lambs wool mitt. This was followed by a final rinse.
After rinsing I removed all the tar spots and insect marks on the body work. I did this by using a tar and insect remover, which you have to use all over or you will never get them all off!
Next I tackled the wheels which were in quite a bad state, they were covered in dirt, grit, tar and brake dust which if left on wheels over time bakes on and eats into them. This in turn destroys the lacquer which can start to peel and flake off, and it also embeds into the alloy causing little tiny black stained pit marks once this happens it’s very difficult to remove sometimes impossible. With the alloys I used an alloy wheel cleaner and a wheel brush as you can see I was able to get quite a good result.
Then I treated the tyres with a tyre and trim plastic dressing with gives the tyres an ultra shine which really sets the outside of the car off.
The next step was to apply a wheel wax which is especially designed just for alloys giving them deep shine and protection against harmful brake dust.
The whole outside of the car was then polished with a high quality polish leaving an ultra deep looking shine to the paint work.
Finally the interior was vacuumed and dressed, which left it looking as good as new!
This vehicle was then ready for its viewing, a good quality valet can help secure a sale - so well worth the small investment. |
