.Case study: BMW

This vehicle was given a custom valet.

I was asked to give this sales car a valet for one of my regular trade customers.

The exterior of the this car was very dirty, covered in road grit, mud, heavy tar spots, and bird droppings - which are hard to remove without the right equipment and chemicals.

Firstly the exterior was washed and waxed. I also cleaned the engine bay because this would be seen by customers wishing to by the car.

Next I had to remove all the tar, I applied a tar and bug remover all over to ensure no spots were missed.

The paint work was also very dull, unloved and untouched for a long time. I brought it back to life by using a good quality hard wax by hand.

The glass was cleaned inside and out and buffed with a microfiber cloth.

The final exterior touch was to make sure the wheels were clean and tyres dressed.

The interior was also very grubby including the leather which was very dull. The inside was hovered to remove all dirt then I wiped down all surfaces including the leather with a degreaser. Next I dressed all the interior plastics including the dash. I used a leather restorer to bring the leather back to life.

Now the car was ready to be put on the forecourt and sold. A quality valet is the difference between a sale and a car sitting on the forecourt for months on end!
